Old failed coatings removed and replaced by my specification on older timbers (past their prime)can be deemed nearly maintenance free for 6 years.

Examples of my work can be seen locally dating back to 1987, before the Hurricane.

On Weatherboard/Bargeboards I have used Jotun Opaque Stains(Flexible alkyd/acrylic Paints to all intents and purposes), for all of that time.
These coatings were independently tested at The Building Research Establishment in the early 1980's and outperformed all the other coatings on test at the time.The company is still a world leader in paint technology; see website for more info: www.jotun.co.uk

Due to the satin finish, it is advisable to use a different specification on Doors and Windows in good condition.-Horses for courses, you might say-. Needless to say I take pride in my work,and jealously guard my reputation.
